2010 Praiseworthy Pups, LLC
Robin Romig, Instructor
I have been fascinated by animals my entire life. I started
riding and training horses back in the 1980's. I gave away
my last horse in 1998 and started training dogs that same
year. I have shown dogs in obedience ever since. My first
competitive dog earned 7 obedience titles and competed in
all levels of obedience. He was certified as a therapy dog by
Therapy Dog International. During his career, he earned
many placements including 2 High in Trial awards. We also
filmed two commercials and his picture is on a heartworm
preventative box.
My dogs have been ranked in the Top Ten of their breed
(pugs) for their scores and my youngest, Willy, was invited
to the Showcase at the Pug Dog Club of America National
Specialty Show in 2008.
I have taught classes in all levels of obedience from Puppy
Kindergarten to Utility. I believe in positive training methods
with lots of happy praise to reward good behavior. Dog
training should be a fun and rewarding experience for both
the dog and handler. I have learned there is not just one
solution for each problem as all dogs and people are
different. What works for one may not work for another. I
have taken classes from many instructors and attend
seminars often to learn new methods of dog training. I look
forward to working with you and your dog at Praiseworthy
Pups!
