2010 Praiseworthy Pups, LLC
Mary Waugh Swindell, Instructor

I was introduced to dog training back in 1990 when I adopted
Gwen. I began taking dog training classes while in high
school and continued showing Gwen in obedience and then in
agility, while attending college at the University of Dallas. I
graduated from UD in 1995 and packed my pup and moved to
Pittsburgh to pursue graduate work with Gwen.
In Pittsburgh, I was award an MA in Psychology and
completed coursework for a PhD in Bioethics at Duquesne
University. To support my studies, I worked at a bird dog
kennel and taught obedience classes, boarding dogs, bird
dogs, and showing in agility and freestyle. After 6 years of
cold and snow, I packed up my growing canine family and
moved back to Texas. My canine family had added 2
Dobermans, Devon and his son Cassanova.
This dynamic dog trio accompanied me to Texas where I met
my husband Michael and his dogs Madeira and Morgan. With
Michael's help and support, I was able to turn my love and
hobby into a full time career. In 2002 I moved to Fort Worth,
and in 2007 we moved to the Boyd property, the current
home of Dancing Dogs.
