Krissy Day

I have been showing and training dogs for over 12 years. I grew
up in a dog show family where I was able to work with dogs of
all shapes and sizes. Currently I own three Miniature Pinschers
and a Vizsla.

Growing up, I focused primarily on conformation shows, handling
everything from Greyhounds and Bernese Mountain Dogs to
Dachshunds and Norwich Terriers. Some of my accomplishments
in conformation include two Best In Show Specialty Wins and
multiple Group Placements, as well as finishing multiple
champions. In addition to conformation, I have also been
training my dogs in agility for the last 9 years. I currently
compete with my Miniature Pinscher, Tori, at the excellent level
in AKC events.

I love the challenge of figuring out what motivates each
individual dog, focusing on positive reinforcement to make a
game out of whatever the training goal may be. Whether
training for agility, or teaching silly "at home tricks," the goal is
always to have fun!
What do our customers think?

"So often, all we hear from our customers are complaints about short comings or failures.  Well, this is
NOT that kind of note!

I have to brag on your conformation instructor Krissy Day.  I started attending classes with my
Keeshond show bitch, "Zazzles," on the Friday before Memorial day.  I literally walked into class
having never been in a conformation ring.  I had absolutely no idea of what I was doing.  Krissy was
patient and informative.  She gave us instruction of the highest quality, from understanding what
judges would ask for, how to stack my dog, how to take her around the ring, and on and on.  I
really knew nothing before attending Krissy's class.  Since there were no classes for the past couple
of weeks, I decided to check out what your competition had to offer at Top Dog in Garland and
Pets West in Aledo.  The contrast between the quality of instruction that I've received at
Praiseworthy Pups when compared to that at both Top Dog and Pets West is so remarkable.
What we are learning, and how we're being taught by Krissy is so incredibly better that it's
astounding.  I feel so proud of the progress that Zazzles and I have made because of what we've
learned from Krissy.  I honestly feel that if I had chosen a different conformation coach in the
beginning, we would not be doing even marginally as well as we are.

I showed Zazzles at the Lone Star State Classic over the weekend.  On Friday and Sunday we
walked away with Winner's Bitch and Best Opposite Sex scoring our first two points, and I give the
credit to Krissy for equipping me with the skills to show my puppy!

Thanks, and we'll see you in a few weeks after the River City Cluster in San Antonio and Reliant in
Houston.  Hopefully, we'll have more great news!"
